⚠️ SUPERSEDED — read Four-Paper-Comparison instead. (1 Sep 2026)

Two flaws were found in this file:

  1. Its "PAA 2022" paper is not a separate exam. It is a second booklet series of the same 10 Nov 2020 Panchayat exam as PAA-2020 — so the "three papers" here are really two, and the "four questions that appear in ALL THREE" are two-peats, not three-peats.
  2. The real FAA 2022 paper was missing. It has since been recovered (FAA-2022-paper, 6 Mar 2022) and shows 7 accountancy questions repeating into FAA 2024 — 23 %, a stronger signal than anything here.

What survives unchanged: the PAA/FAA syllabus-boundary finding (Taxation, Costing, Financial Management and IFMS score zero in PAA), and the 0 % carryover for Statistics, Maths and Economics. Kept for history, per the vault rule. Do not plan from this file.

🔬 THREE-PAPER COMPARISON — PAA 2020 · PAA 2022 · FAA 2024

Question: Is the PAA paper useful for FAA — and can we derive a pattern from three papers? Method: every question stem in the four shared subjects compared by text similarity, plus the official PAA answer key. Papers: PAA-2020 (10 Nov 2020) · 2022-paper (Accounts Assistant, Panchayat) · 2024-paper (the only true FAA paper)

⚖️ THE VERDICT IN ONE TABLE

SubjectIs PAA useful for FAA?Why
Accountancy🟢 ⭐ YES — strongly4 questions repeat verbatim into FAA 2024; valid practice for FAA Ch 1–22
Statistics🟡 Partly0 question repeats, but the topics overlap heavily — good practice, not a question bank
Mathematics🔴 Barely0 repeats, and PAA never reaches 7 of FAA's 10 maths topics
Economics🔴 No0 repeats, and the topic emphasis is completely different

⭐⭐ THE STRUCTURAL DIFFERENCE THAT MATTERS MOST

PAA treats "Mathematics/Statistics" as ONE combined 10-mark section. FAA splits them into TWO separate 10-mark sections. So FAA carries double the quantitative load, and — critically — its Mathematics paper is NCERT Class 11–12 level (limits, derivatives, matrices, vectors), a level the PAA combined section never reaches.

The other two swings: Computers drops from 30 to 10 (so PAA's 30-mark computer block is over-preparation), and FAA adds a 10-mark English section that PAA does not have at all.

🚨 2. THE PATTERN — recycling happens only WITHIN the PAA lineage

Measured across every question stem:

ComparisonAccountancyStatistics + MathsEconomics
PAA-2020 → 202220/29 = 69%⭐⭐ 10/10 = 100%8/9 = 89%
PAA-2020 → FAA-20244/29 = 14%0/10 = 0%0/9 = 0%
2022 → FAA-20243/30 = 10%0/10 = 0%0/10 = 0%
⭐⭐ THE RULE

JKSSB recycles heavily inside one post's lineage, and almost not at all across posts. The 2022 Panchayat paper is close to a reshuffle of the 2020 one — 89–100% repeats in Statistics/Maths and Economics, most at 0.96–1.00 similarity (word-for-word). But crossing to the Finance Account Assistant paper, only Accountancy carries anything over — and only four questions.

So: do PAA papers for ACCOUNTANCY. Do not expect a single repeated question in Statistics, Maths or Economics.

💰 3. ACCOUNTANCY — 30 marks in all three papers

The four questions that appear in ALL THREE — at similarity 1.00

Three sittings, six years, identical wording. These are the closest thing to guaranteed marks on the paper.

⭐ What this reveals

Seven chapters appear in ALL THREE papers — Ch 1, 3, 15, 16, 17, 19, 22. That is the true, stable floor of the accountancy section across six years.

⚠️ And the boundary the user identified is confirmed by the evidence: Taxation, Cost Accounting, Financial Management and IFMS score ZERO in both PAA papers and 11 marks in FAA 2024. The PAA syllabus stops before them. No PAA paper will ever prepare you for those 11 marks.

How to use PAA for accountancy

Ch 1–22 practice — three papers' worth of questions on the fundamentals ❌ Ch 23–27 — you must cover these from FAA-ACCOUNTANCY-CHEAT-SHEET and the notes; PAA gives you nothing

📊 4. STATISTICS & MATHEMATICS

The PAA combined block, decoded

PAA-2020 Q31–40 is 7 Statistics + 3 Mathematics — with the official key:

⭐⭐ The PAA key independently VALIDATES this vault's answers

All ten of these questions reappear in the 2022 paper, and the vault's Statistics-Tagged-Answers derived answers for them independently.

10 of 10 agree.

The 2022 answers in this vault were re-solved by hand from an AI-generated key and flagged as unofficial. The official PAA-2020 key confirms every single one. Those ten answers are now verified against an official JKSSB source.

Where PAA falls short for FAA Mathematics

FAA Maths tests 10 NCERT Class 11–12 topics. PAA's combined block touches only three, and all at an elementary level:

FAA Maths topicTested by PAA?
(v) Set Theory(Q36 — elementary)
(viii) Probability(Q33 — elementary)
(ix) Coordinate Geometry(Q32 — distance formula only)
(i) Interest · (ii) Linear equations
(iii) Permutations, Combinations & Binomial
(iv) Limits & Derivatives
(vi) Relations & Functions
(vii) Matrices & Determinants
(x) Vectors

PAA gives you ZERO preparation for 7 of FAA's 10 maths topics — including the whole +2 block. See Maths-Study-Plan.

For Statistics it is much better: PAA's 7 statistics questions hit 6 of the 10 FAA statistics topics (ii, iv, vi, vii, ix, x). Worth doing as practice — just don't expect the questions back.

💹 5. ECONOMICS — 10 marks in all three

Repeats into FAA0 of 9

PAA economics is Panchayat-flavoured — it asks about Gram Panchayat Development Plans, which FAA never will. Its theory half (indifference curves, law of variable proportion) is genuine syllabus overlap, but not one question carried across.

🎯 6. WHAT TO ACTUALLY DO

PriorityAction
1Learn the four three-peat accountancy questions cold. Six years, three papers, identical wording
2Use PAA-2020 + 2022 as a 60-question practice bank for accountancy Ch 1–22
3Do PAA's 7 statistics questions as practice — topics align, and the key is now verified
4 ⚠️Do NOT rely on PAA for Maths — cover limits, matrices, vectors, P&C, relations separately
5 ⚠️Do NOT rely on PAA for Economics — zero carryover, and it is Panchayat-flavoured
6 ⚠️Cover FAA Ch 23–27 (Taxation, Costing, Budget, IFMS) entirely outside PAA — worth 11 marks in 2024
7Skip PAA's 30-mark computer block — FAA gives Computers only 10 marks. And PAA has no English at all, which FAA scores 10
The honest limitation of this analysis

We have only ONE true FAA paper (2024). Every cross-post conclusion here rests on a single data point. The within-PAA recycling finding is solid (two papers, measured), but "only accountancy carries across" could change if a second FAA paper appeared.
