FAA 2022 — Finance Accounts Assistant Question Paper (6 March 2022)
📕 FAA 2022 — Finance Accounts Assistant, 6 March 2022
The file previously used as "FAA 2022" (FAA-PYQs/2022/2022-paper.md) is not an FAA paper — it is a Panchayat Accounts Assistant booklet from the 10 November 2020 exam. See the evidence table below.
This paper's structure matches FAA 2024 exactly: Statistics is its own section at Q71–80, Mathematics its own at Q81–90. The Panchayat paper's combined "Mathematics/Statistics" block at Q31–40 was never the FAA format.
JKSSB's FAA exam of 6 March 2022 (972 posts) was scrapped after a confirmed question-paper leak and OMR tampering by the private agency MeritTrac; the CBI registered a case on 28 November 2022. Results had been declared 21 April 2022. The questions themselves remain a genuine JKSSB-set FAA paper and are the single best guide to the 2026 paper alongside 2024. Study it.

Why we know the old "2022 paper" is a Panchayat paper
| Evidence | Finding |
|---|---|
Cover page of 2022/2022-paper.md, line 7 | Post: Accounts Assistant (Panchayat) |
| Its section structure | 6 sections, Section 2 = "Mathematics / Statistics" combined at Q31–40 |
| Panchayat-specific content | 24 mentions — GPDP, six-year Panchayat term, BDC powers |
| Latest year referenced in it | 2020 — nothing from 2021 or 2022 |
2022-paper-distribution.md, line 1 | calls its subject "the 2020 Question Booklet (Set C, Series 68)" |
| Studocu & Scribd, "JKSSB PAA 2020 Question Paper" | "Section 2 – Mathematics / Statistics. Which of the following is true about the sampling error?" — that file's Q31, verbatim; Scribd also lists its Q36 ("the number of men is 151,781,326") |
| This paper (the real FAA 2022) | 8 sections, Statistics alone at Q71–80 — matching FAA 2024, not the Panchayat layout |
Conclusion: FAA-PYQs/2022/ and JKSSB-PAPERS/PAA-2020.md are two booklet series of the same 10 Nov 2020 Panchayat exam. That is why their statistics blocks matched 10/10 — it was never cross-year recycling.

All ten map cleanly onto the FAA statistics syllabus — and, as in 2024, roughly one question per topic. Topics (v) and (i) got two each here; time series and set theory (which the Panchayat paper tested) do not appear.
Section 5 — Mathematics (Q81–90)
Solved and cross-checked in Maths-Tagged-Answers.
81) The sum of two numbers is 18; the sum of their reciprocals is 1/4. The numbers are A) 12 and 6 · B) 10 and 8 · C) 9 and 9 · D) 11 and 7
Ans: A — x + y = 18 and (x+y)/xy = 1/4 → xy = 72 → roots of t² − 18t + 72 = 0 → 12, 6.
82) For what value of m do 5a + 7b = 2 and 15a + 21b = m have no solution? A) m ≠ 0 · B) m ≠ 4 · C) m ≠ 6 · D) m ≠ 6
Ans: Null — question dropped
The maths is sound: the second equation is 3× the first, so it is consistent only when m = 6. No solution when m ≠ 6. The paper printed the correct option twice, so it was awarded to all.
83) If the points (5,2,4), (6,1,2) and (8,7,k) are collinear, then k = A) 2 · B) 1 · C) 2 · D) 3
Ans: Null — question dropped
AB = (1, −1, −2) and AC = (3, 5, k−4). Collinearity needs AC = t·AB → t = 3 from the x-component, but then the y-component demands 5 = −3. Contradiction — the points can never be collinear. Options A and C are also duplicates.
84) Compound interest on a principal of ₹11,200 at 10% for 2 years? A) ₹200 · B) ₹220 · C) ₹252 · D) ₹300
Ans: C
CI on ₹11,200 at 10% for 2 years is ₹2,352, which is not an option. The keyed answer ₹252 is CI on ₹1,200 (1200 × 1.21 − 1200 = 252). Treat the principal as ₹1,200. The method is what matters: CI = P[(1+r)ⁿ − 1].
85) If X and Y are two sets and X ∪ Y = X ∩ Y, then which is true? A) X = ø · B) Y = ø · C) X = Y · D) X ⊆ Y

Ans: C — AB = √(4+1+4) = 3, BC = √(1+1+4) = √6, CA = √(1+4+0) = √5.
87) Three unbiased coins are tossed. P(at most 2 heads)? A) 1/4 · B) 3/8 · C) 7/8 · D) 1/2
Ans: C — 1 − P(3 heads) = 1 − 1/8 = 7/8.
88) If A = {0,1,2,4} and B = {1,3,5}, then (A − B) × (A ∩ B) = A) {(0,1), (2,1), (4,1)} · B) {(0,1), (2,1), (3,1)} · C) {(1,1), (2,1), (4,1)} · D) {(1,0), (2,1), (3,1)}
Ans: A — A − B = {0,2,4}, A ∩ B = {1}.
89) (limit expression — image in the original paper) A) 1/2 · B) −1/2 · C) 1 · D) −1
Ans: A — the paper's hint: use L'Hôpital's Rule.
The question body was an image in the source and is lost. Only the answer and the hint survive.
90) In how many ways can 8 students be seated on 8 chairs? A) 8 · B) ⁸C₁ · C) ⁸P₈ · D) 64
Ans: C — ⁸P₈ = 8! = 40,320.
Sets (2), probability (1), coordinate/vector geometry (2), simultaneous equations (1), CI (1), permutations (1), limits (1). Sets and probability appear in BOTH the statistics and maths sections — the highest-value overlap in the paper.
