⚠️ Key warning from the data: JKSSB consistently uses hard vocabulary. Words actually asked include winsome, umbrage, egregious, sagacious, perspicacious, prolix, cogent, equanimous, recalcitrant, taciturn, mercurial, loquacious, fecund, prodigal. Build a tough word-list — this is the difference between 6/10 and 10/10 here.
4. General Science (10 marks) — high overlap, class-X level. Bank it.
FAA science = Newton's laws, electricity, chemical equations, metals/non-metals, energy sources, nutrition/respiration, diseases, vitamins, ecosystem, pollution/ozone. This is the same class-X science repeatedly asked in Inspector-FPF, Guard-FPF, Lab Attendant and Social Forestry.

6. Mathematics (10 marks) — only PARTIAL overlap. Split your effort.
⚠️ Important: FAA Maths is 11th–12th standard (Permutations/Combinations, Binomial, Limits & Derivatives, Set Theory, Relations & Functions, Matrices & Determinants, Coordinate & 3-D Geometry, Vectors). This is much higher than the arithmetic in the other papers and is new territory — the 7 papers give you almost no help here.
What DOES overlap (revise using past-paper style):
- Simple / Compound Interest — heavily tested (Lab Attendant Q28/Q35/Q38, Inspector Q19/Q20). Know CI–SI difference = P(r/100)² for 2 years.
- Linear equations in two variables — Inspector Q16–18, Lab Attendant.
- Probability (single event) — appeared in Wildlife Guard, Lab Attendant, Guard-FPF, Social Forestry.
What is FRESH (no past-paper help — allocate real study time): Permutations/Combinations, Binomial Theorem, Limits/Derivatives, Set Theory, Relations & Functions, Matrices/Determinants, Coordinate/3-D Geometry, Vectors.
Prediction: ~3–4 of the 10 come from the overlapping/arithmetic-flavoured topics (interest, linear equations, probability); ~6–7 from the higher-math topics you must prepare afresh.
7. Statistics (10 marks) — PARTIAL overlap.
Overlaps (leverage past data):

8. The two FAA-only pillars — no overlap, but 40 marks. Do NOT neglect.
These have zero support from the 7 papers, yet are the joint-largest weight and the real differentiators for a Finance post:
- Accountancy & Book-Keeping (30 marks): double-entry system, journal/ledger, trial balance, cash book, BRS, trading & P/L account, balance sheet, partnership accounts, financial statements, PFMS, taxation (direct/indirect — GST), cost accounting/budgetary control, social accounting/audit. → This is the highest-yield block you must build from scratch. A finance aspirant should treat this as the core.
- General Economics (10 marks): micro basics (demand/indifference curves, factor pricing, market forms, laws of production) + macro/Indian economy (fiscal & monetary policy, role of RBI, national income, economic reforms, growth). → Overlaps slightly with GK current-affairs (RBI, economy schemes) but mostly fresh.
9. Your prioritised focus plan (for the OVERLAPPING syllabus)
Ranked by marks × probability × how much the past papers help you:
